So this is a fun one… Just saw that Liftopia in a great piece on Newsweek.com about recession ski deals in New England.
It is a great article with some insight on the ski landscape in the Northeast this season, as well as some tips for finding some great deals. I think our only question is why Sean calls our partners second tier (as we think they are the best resorts out there, heh)…
Sean O’neill points out some interesting tidbits about the New England ski market this year, most notably that Vermont was reporting a 17% increase in season pass sales this early season. Many folks have predicted that skiers will not necessarily ski less this season, but alter their habits (ski locally instead of flying out), and New England is a great example of this happening. While the western slopes have their allure, there is plenty of awesome skiing and riding to be had in Vermont, New Hampshire, and the rest of the Northeast (including New York).
